Who has had the most influence on your athletic career?

Jean-Paul Richard, women freestyle ski moguls coach from 2011 to 2014.

What's the biggest challenge you've had to overcome?

After some bad results on the World Cup circuit in 2011, I had to compete on the Nor-Am tour to earn back my spot on the World Cup team. Although it was a very hard moment for me, it turned out to be the most beneficial experience of my career.

Advice to young athletes

Dare to dream! Every champion was once a contender that refused to give up.

How did you get into freestyle?

I started mogul skiing at 11 after watching my friend compete at a regional event. I was immediately captivated by the jumps, and I wanted to try it for myself. So I convinced my parents to let me try for a year, and everything escalated pretty quickly after!

Favourite World Cup stop and why?

Every World Cup stop has its own charms, and I enjoy everyone of them because I only get to go once a year. Calgary is great because I’m competing at home; Deer Valley is one of the toughest courses, but it is very rewarding; Ruka, Finland, is dark all the time, but since it’s December, my sisters and I decorate our apartment to celebrate the holidays!
