TORONTO, ONTARIO (October 10, 2012) — The Canadian Freestyle Ski Association is conducting the following clinics for judges, officials and event organizers to upgrade their certification and skills.

Note: Registration deadline for clinics is October 18, 2012

 

Canadian Officials Summit – Toronto, November 16-18, 2012

 Who:

  • Officials, TDs and Event Organizers who will be officiating at Senior Nationals, Junior Nationals, Canadian Series, Canadian Open Tour, Canadian Shield Tour, Provincial Championships and Regional Competitions this season.
  • Attendees must have taken Officials level 1 and 2 training.

Topics:

  • Competition organization and operations around events
  • Roles and responsibilities
  • How to be a better member of the team
  • Updates on rules and procedures
  • Air qualification and air site updates
  • Professional development
  • LTAD overview
  • Mentorship program and licensing

FIS B Judging Clinic – Toronto, November 16-18, 2012 / Calgary, November 9-11, 2012

 

Who:

  • Freestyle judges with a minimum of one-year experience who are interested in high performance judging and keen to improve their skills
  • Performance athletes and coaches who are interested in understanding the judging criteria and process.
  • B and C level judges and judges who need to upgrade from ‘D’ to ‘C’ FIS certification.
  • The AFP Halfpipe/Slopestyle/Big Air segments are open to all levels of judge certification.
  • International-level judges who cannot attend A Clinics.
  • All participants must be current members of their national freestyle ski association.
