Advice to young athletes
Aspire to be the best that you can be. Challenge yourself to find your true potential, and in the search you will find wisdom.
How did you get into freestyle?
I ski raced when I was young, but I was known as the freestyle team shadow because I would follow them around the hill until I was finally old enough to join. That year I also watched mogul skier Jean-Luc Brassard win the Olympic Gold Medal. That was the clincher for me to go after my Olympic dream.
Do you currently support a charity?
I founded the “Supporting the Dream Legacy Fund” to support upcoming athletes in the Okanagan. I am also part of the Act Now BC program, and the Adopt and Athlete program. I am also an ambassador for “1 Step Foundation” which helps ski communities adopt more environmentally sustainable practices.
